Academy Coordinator


Mr. Village is in his 8th year at RBSS and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the academy.  Mr. Village is also the basketball coordinator and in his 6th year a part of the LSS team.



Assistant Coach, PGA of Canada Certified

As a certified PGA of Canada professional, Luke brings over 12 years of competitive golf experience to the Bateman program.  Having competed against some of the best players in the game today including; Rickie Fowler, Nick Taylor, Billy Horshell, Adam Hadwin, Patrick Reed and Danny Lee, Assistant Coach Luke understands the necessary steps to bring a Junior golfer's game to the next level.




Coaching Assistant

John retired from an Administrative position in the Abbotsford School District, where he served for 30+ years.  He has been an avid athlete all his life, particularly in the sports of golf, baseball, downhill skiing, karate, and competitive swimming.  He has coached soccer, baseball, basketball, and volleyball.



Coaching Assistant

Mike worked in the Abbotsford School District as an administrator and Phys. Ed teacher for 30+ years.  He is a current Ledgeview member and has coached a variety of sports including rep and recreational soccer, volleyball, basketball, and baseball.  



Head Coach, CPGA Class A, LPGA Class A

Head Coach, Kathy Stecyk, holds a Class “A” status in both C.P.G.A. and L.P.G.A. Associations. Having attained the highest qualifications in both Associations, Kathy is completely committed to providing the highest level of golf instruction. She’s an expert in coaching the skills related to sports learning and performance, and is experienced working with all levels of players.

Kathy has recently been conferences in Toronto and Orlando received the highest level of instruction from Golf Professionals.

Coaching since 1993 has provided a strong platform from which Kathy has been able to develop the Bateman Golf Academy Training Program.




Mr. L McDonald is in his first year at Bateman as Principal.  Mr. McDonald had his son, Callum, a part of the Academy a few years ago.  He has many years of experience in Administration and is an avid sports fan.  He is a supporter of Mr. Sarowa, who was a previous principal at Bateman and started the Golf Academy program.  Mr. McDonald ran the Baseball, Softball, and Hockey Academy over at his previous school, Yale Secondary.



Tour Performance LAB - Fitness Instructor

Lindsay Manion has become one of the top golf performance coaches in BC. Her experience as a collegiate champion golfer at UBC, paired with a Bachelor of Human Kinetics degree has allowed her to coach a wide demographic of golfers including juniors, amateurs and aspiring tour professionals, to play their best! Lindsay is a TPI Certified Fitness Professional. Lindsay is the lead strength coach for the Tour Performance Lab, as well as for the UBC Thunderbirds men and women’s golf program. She specializes in physical assessments, corrective exercise techniques, all the way to functional strength and speed training.  The results for clients have been anything from rehab through increased mobility and stability programs, to strength, power and distance in their golf games.  Lindsay’s passion for golf, fitness, and overall human performance continues to inspire students to be the best version of themselves
